Petals Around The Rose

I came across Petals Around The Rose puzzle quite some months ago and shared it with many of you. Thoght of blogging it here to let everyone access it.

It took me some hours to figure it out. Mainly because I was over analyzing. Even a school going kid can solve it, given the method to solve it. It seems more the time you take to solve the puzzle, the wiser you are :)

These are the only available hints:

1. The name of the puzzle
2. The answer is either zero or an even number
3. The answer for a particular throw

There is one rule to this game too:

1. Never divulge the secret of the game to anyone else
